Sharpie Valentine Mugs

Finally got around to trying out this Sharpie craft we have wanted to try for sometime. Have you done any writing or drawing on ceramics with a Sharpie yet? Our first attempt and we went with Sharpie Valentine Mugs since it is everything Valentines right now.

To make this craft you will need:

Mugs. We purchased ours from the Dollar Tree.

Sharpie Oil based pen a.k.a. Sharpie Paint Pen from the craft store.

Stencils or free hand. We did a little of both.

If you use a regular Sharpie permanent marker, you will not get the same long lasting wear as using the Paint Sharpie.

How to:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Clean and dry your mugs.

If using a stencil, place on mug.

Prep Sharpie pen per directions on package.

Begin to draw on mug.

If using a stencil, remove stencil once the paint dries some and continue on.

Let the paint cure on the mugs about 15 minutes before placing in the oven for 1 hour.

Remove allow to cool and use or gift.

Not too thrilled with how some of the paint pen ran under the stencil. Maybe not a good enough seal. But it adds the homemade, handmade feel to the mugs.

Don't forget to add you special little touches, like hearts and "xxxx & ooooo" to personalize your mugs.

His and her mugs for that special Valentines Day hot beverage drink together.

Share a mug full of love this Valentines Day!

If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother."
1 John 4:20-21
