Home Sweet Home. As much as we love our Winter decorations right now, in a very short while it will all be taken down and up will go Valentine's Day. In the mean time, we thought it would be fun to show you how we decorated for Valentine's Day last season. We didn't have a theme per say, like all hearts or all roses, we just put together some simple things we had or found here and their, and it all seemed to work. So here is a look at some of our home sweet home Valentine decorations while we prepare for this years Valentine's Day.
Our red rose wreath above was a simple one to put together using an old grapevine wreath base and some silk flowers we had on hand. A little glue, tie on a bow and done!
This red velvet vintage hat box was a find at one of our favorite little boutiques. We filled the inside with various sweetheart Valentines to look like a special place one would keep her very special love letters and Valentine's.
We made a Valentine's tree with a backyard tree branch and hung different Valentine's on the tree.
We trimmed the Valentine's on the tree with some red wired trim and loved the look.
We found these love blocks at Target in the dollar section.
We made a sweet little paper garland by printing off the flags and taping them onto doilies.
Angels and Valentine's Day go hand in hand. The angels are some pieces we already owned and they worked perfect with our Valentines decor. The rose heart topiary we found at the thrift store and stuck a Target find "love" in the pot for a little extra bling.
Another Target "love" sign.
We just love the sweet Valentine sentiment on this little box. We found this at our favorite boutique also. The good thing about our purchases their is that the items were bought with birthday gift cards!
We found some really cute vintage Valentine graphics and stuck on a glitter foam sticker for a little something cute.

We made some stain glass hearts to hang from the chandelier. {We will be making some more for this Valentine's Day as well!}
And to sum it all up, 1 Corinthians 13. O, what a beautiful Valentine this is to us all from God. How often I need to be reminded of this. Am I walking in this kind of love? Am I? More times I am not. Be inspired, get creative!
Note: Please forgive us for not mentioning a proper credit to the designers of the Heart printables used in the garland and the 1 Corinthian 13 printable. If you contact me I will make the proper changes.
Come let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Psalm 95:1
