Roll up your sleeves, time to have some fun!
We only have one week left before school starts back up.
Looking forward to having a third grader this year!
If you and your children have ever played with Moon Sand than you know how much fun it can be!
Not only is it fun it teaches creativity and works on the fine motor skills. As much as we love Moon Sand, it can add up when bought at the store. We were so happy to see Megan from Polish The Stars post a diy version of homemade Moon Sand!! We could hardly wait to try it out!
Just so you know, this recipe is not exactly like store bought Moon Sand,
nonetheless,
it sure is fun to dig your hands in and play with!
What You Will Need:
2 cups of sand. {Dollar Tree 1 bottle is almost cups} 1 cup of corn starch .
Food coloring. 1/2 cup of water. Storage container.
Cost of project:
Sand $1.00 since we had on hand: bottle of sand, cornstarch, food coloring, container
How To:
Measure and mix together the sand and cornstarch.
Add the water and a few drops of food coloring to the sand mixture.
Mix it all up. Add more coloring if desired.
Store in air tight container.
If it dries out a bit just add some additional water and mix it up.
Good as new!
This is really a lot of fun.
Everyone will want to get their hands in the sand and play!
Be inspired to get creative! Remember, keep it Homespun!
The Lord redeems His servants;
no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him.

I made some moon sand for my kids (slightly different recipe) and they loved it! It's messy, but kept them entertained for a long time!

Genius! I love this idea :) It can get very pricey from the store. Thanks for sharing. We host a series called "Help a Momma Out" every Tuesday and would love if you would stop by and link this up! It is perfect. Hope to see you there!
